Chuck started class with several techniques from seiza. Unfortunately, I didn't capture any of these with my camera. There may be some lying around AikiWeb that I took with other cameras. At some point, Chuck switched to standing technique. One standing technique finished with what was affectionately called the circle-square-triangle pin. I completely missed the details of this pin, but I'm sure Chuck will be happy to demonstrate on me next time I see him. Rumor has it that it is quite painful.

Chuck likes to use a lot of different ukes when he demonstrates. The next group of pictures were taken when Chuck was randomly calling up ukes. Two of my favorite shots are of Chuck dumping Scott Crawford like a bad date.

Shihonage was also done, as required.

Chuck finished up his class by showing a sword kata. He had help from his students, Tim and LeAnne. The class goes through the kata below.

That concludes the 1999 seminar. It took me quite a while to finally finish this last page. Doing this pictorial review was a lot more work than I realized. Hope you enjoyed it.
