Inoue Sensei has a saying:
Aiki Soku Sei Katsu
meaning
Aikido Suddenly daily Life
or
Aikido Suddenly Harmony
and that is what most impressed me this last weekend.....Suddenly Harmony
through all of our aikido. There are such a swirl of images and feelings.
Of Beate and Alexi both showing me things of flow as well as all of the
quick connections that abounded. I would also join my thanks to Carol,
George and mike for all their work but you know...if there is one thing
that made the most sense for me it was this. Tonight I used that
shihonage palm to palm exercise that Alan showed in his class to start my
class tonight. And used it as a springboard to go and do many other
techniques all based on that one simple movement. A kind of cross
pollination in the best sense. So thanks to everyone who came and attended
and I can't believe the people I DIDN'T meet. Next time I am pushing for
mandatory name tags to start off with so we can actually see who is
there.
